The clock is ticking

We are not sure how many of our students will be heading out to the polling stations tomorrow as they might just be too busy trying to finish their work. We are now heading into the final two weeks for the BA degree students and the Wood Workshop remains a buzz of activity. It's great to see lots of work now nearing completion and as always we are looking forward to seeing the final show with the work on display for all to see. Below are some images taken from the past week.

Big squeeze in Small Works
Stairs to get you up into the back of a lorry for a pop up show.
Benny makes some fruit.

Heat bending acrylic within a former.

Large square form.
Going…….
Going…...
Still going…...
Gone!

Every inch of workbench space being utilised.
This habitable space taking shape that will be located on a trailer pulled by a bicycle.
You can never have enough screw drivers!
Some lovely big structures being made in the assembly room.
A mould being made ready to take to the foundry for casting into.
Some delicate framework being added to the arch project.
Calculator and protractor required for this geometric mass.
Finishing off the Walnut box that will house a Kalimba.
Fixing up a mirrored box
At least with this project you can take the weight off your feet whilst getting on with the rest!

Seems strong enough.
Lovely piece of Oak faced MDF put to good use here.
Another happy student getting to grips with this complex build.
