Summer Term Starts

We are just a few days into the new term and the Wood Workshop here at Chelsea College is a flurry of activity once again. It's hard to imagine that in just a short five weeks the BA students will need to have wrapped up the making ready for the summer show. With the sun beating down today it's a stark reminder that the clock is ticking. We are expecting a fun few weeks! Below are some images taken from the past couple of days.

The end of construction draws near for this never ending staircase model

Popular as ever, the wood lathe being put to good use.
He's back! Leonard in full flow with the construction of his second urinal.
The beginnings of a very delicate structure.
Reaching the 'putting it together bit', these two high tables are influenced by a piece of Japanese furniture

Down in Small Works we are starting to see lots of architectural forms

Possibly more a job for the laser cutter but when that's fully booked you can always fret saw your cogs in with us
