The Finishing Touches

So we are into the last days now of making ready for next weeks assessments and degree show. There is still much to do for some whilst others are just about their. It is still a buzz of activity with us in the Wood Workshop, here at Chelsea as many of the students also visit us to build walls, plinths, shelves and other display items. One last push everyone and we are there! Below are some images taken from the past few days.

It's a hive of activity out on the parade ground as several students race to get their projects finished in time.
Stef helped Chrissy cut these out but they are actually the waste sections. Below is the object that was formed.

Trestle legs in the making for a display table
Fine Arts Henry clads his structure in strips of wood.
A curved piece of acrylic here having acrylic letters stuck on.

Phil helps to illuminate this plinth.
Sections of polystyrene foam being sculpted for a final piece of work.
A smaller acrylic ring this time with letters attached.
Finola puts together a stair case so we can all climb up onto her degree show structure.
Not your everyday tv stand.
