ISD in full flow

The students from 1st year Interior Design have certainly not taken long to find their feet with us here in the Wood Workshop. Currently working on a project to be based in Portabello Market, they are building stalls and personal objects to be set up next week at the West London location. So far so good and the results have been varied, fun and interesting to see being built coupled with some really good team work. Below are some images taken from the last week as the project continues to gather pace.

Small Works seems even smaller lately as lots of interesting work is made.
Weng lends some much needed muscle to take this rocking horse apart.
How would you like your eggs done?
 Formed!
A healthy bit of recycling taking place.

We lost count of the amount of different objects and bits in this very intriguing stall.
Very nice little detail on this rotary arm
Handy work on the Bandsaw

The 3 rotary arms are fitted
The components of this stall begin to take shape
and are placed together to create the form
Nice use of coat hangers to create this 3 dimensional shape

At the end of the day we all go home....
and then get straight back to it the next day

Great example of how a really good sketch model helps you when making a full size piece
A thoroughbred if ever there was one!
