TAT

Once again the Cook-House Space here at Chelsea College played host to a technician show. This time it was the joint efforts of the Textiles department with all seven of the technical team joining together to put on this diverse, colourful and highly professional show. Entitled 'TAT ' (Technically Advanced Textiles) the show combines several processes including Knit, Stitch, Weave, Digital Pattern design, Print and Dye. The work will be on display until the 27th of September so if you get the chance come on over for a look. Below are some images taken from the show. Well done to you all.

London Design Festival 2012

Each September, London plays host to this exciting and inspiring design festival. Over ten packed days there are more than 300 events to keep the most ardent of art and design fans occupied. As always at this time, we in the Wood Workshop were able to visit several of the events. This has always proven to be of real benefit as, just before the new start of term, serves as a period of reflection and inspiration as we seek to discover new materials, process and ideas, that we can feedback into our working day and our interaction with students.
