Mid Way Point

It's hard to believe that we are now half way through another academic year, here at Chelsea College. There has been no let up in the activity with us in the Wood Workshop with a great variety of projects to be seen. We are looking forward to a big push over the next few weeks as our students really get their teeth into their work. Below are some images taken from the past few days.

Tim Harker

Chelsea college waved farewell last week to one of our very own, Tim Harker. The much loved colleague of the technical team finally called time on a career at the college spanning an incredible thirty eight years. Tim has inspired and helped in his ceramics workshop more students than anybody could possibly put a figure on. The Wood workshop team would like to wish Tim every happiness in his much deserved retirement!

Gifts aplenty from friends and colleagues mostly all hand made.
A lovely gathering in the Ceramics workshop to see Tim off in style.

Tim's grandson Louis shows Tim's wife Annette how to throw a pot!
Old faces were back to say a few kind words about Tim.
Which he seemed to enjoy.

And it's a warm welcome to Amy Jane Hughes who joins us to help fill the void that Tim leaves behind. The ceremonial key hand over taking place here.
Our very own Phil made a beautiful plaque to commemorate Tim's time at the college.
Lovely!
